How the fee bridge works.

A token points its creator fees at us. We claim them on chain. 80% is paid to an X account through X Money. Nobody has to sign up to be paid.

Overview

Meme Accounts is a fee bridge for pons.family. A deployer launches on pons and sets the fee wallet to the Meme Accounts treasury. One line in the token description names the X account those fees belong to.

Everything after that is mechanical. Fees accrue as the token trades. We claim them on chain. 80% is converted to dollars and sent through X Money from a pre-funded float. 20% buys the protocol token on the open market and burns it. Each step is recorded against the claim that produced it. Each payout is confirmed in public by @MemePay_.

The recipient does not create an account here or connect a wallet. A payout can arrive from a token they have never heard of. Who may pay them is an X Money setting, not a second switch on this site.

pons.family

Meme Accounts only supports pons.family on Robinhood Chain. Fees are directed at creation, as the fee wallet. pump.fun, four.meme, and other launchpads are not supported.

Directing fees

The fee wallet is set when the token is created, alongside its name and image. Point it at the Meme Accounts treasury as part of creating the coin, not as a second visit.

There is no separate revoke step. pons lets only the current recipient hand the fee wallet on. Once it is ours, the deployer cannot take it back.

Naming the recipient

Put this line in the description, with the handle you want paid:

Fees to @handle via Meme Accounts

“Fees to” and “via Meme Accounts” bracket the handle so only one reading is possible if several accounts are mentioned. If the line is missing we fall back to the first handle in the description, then to the X account the token is linked to. Neither fallback is as reliable as the line.

pons.family allows 256 characters. Keep the fee line inside that limit. The recipient does not need to agree, know in advance, or hold a wallet.

The 80/20 split

Every claim divides the same way. There is no discretion, no negotiated schedule, and no tier that changes it.

  • Recipient share: 80%, paid in dollars through X Money.
  • Protocol cut: 20%, spent buying and burning the protocol token.
  • Applied: per claim, at claim time.
  • Fees we add: none. The 20% is the whole of it.

How claims work

Creator fees do not arrive continuously. They accrue to the treasury and sit there until claimed. Claiming per trade would spend more in transaction fees than a quiet token collected.

Each claim is written to the ledger keyed on its transaction signature, so it cannot be recorded twice. The 80/20 split is computed from that claim and not recalculated afterwards. A failed claim creates no obligation and is retried; the fees stay accrued.

Payouts land at milestones. A recipient share builds until it crosses $5, then $10, $20, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000, and every $1,000 after. Each crossing sends the full balance.

Getting paid

If a token has named your handle, the money is already yours. There is nothing to claim and no form to fill in. It is sent once the balance crosses a payout milestone and your X Money account can receive.

  1. Somebody launches a pons.family token and points creator fees at your X account.
  2. Trading generates fees. We claim them on chain on a schedule.
  3. 80% is sent through X Money from a pre-funded float.
  4. @MemePay_ replies so you and your audience can see where it came from.

Receiving a payment does not make you a customer of Meme Accounts or a promoter of the token that named you.

X Money setup

Payments settle into X Money. The only requirement on your side is an X Money account that is open to receiving. That is configured on X, not here. Meme Accounts cannot open one for you or change its settings.

X Money is available to X Premium members. We check whether a handle can be paid before opening a payable balance. If it cannot yet, the money is held rather than lost.

Held balances

Any X account can be named. If the handle cannot receive yet, the balance is held for 7 days. Open X Money in that window and it goes out on the next run. If the 7 days pass and the account still cannot receive, the balance is recycled into the protocol buyback. That is the only thing that happens to an unclaimed balance.

Public confirmation

Every payout is announced. @MemePay_ replies to the recipient with the amount and the token it came from. Most recipients were not asked before their handle was named, so the payment is usually the first they hear of it. The Explorer records the same event.

Treasury

A pons token earns fees on Robinhood Chain. Payouts do not wait on that chain: the recipient share settles in dollars through X Money from the float. Protocol cuts are claimed on the same chain, then spent on the buyback.

Stopping payments

There is no opt-out on this site. Who may pay you is a setting on your X Money account. Turning off incoming payments there stops Meme Accounts paying you, the same as it stops anyone else. If you would also prefer your handle not to appear here, ask @MemePay_ on X.

If a token is not registering

Registration is automatic. If a token has not appeared, it has usually failed one of these:

  • The fee wallet is not the Meme Accounts treasury.
  • The description names no handle and the token is not linked to an X account.
  • The token is too new for the indexer to have seen it.

Important notes

This site currently demonstrates the product. Live claiming, treasury custody, and X Money sends require the on-chain indexer and payout worker described above. Digital assets can lose value. X Money availability is set by X. Meme Accounts is not affiliated with X Corp., X Money, pons.family, Trump Accounts, or the U.S. government. Nothing here is financial, legal, or tax advice.
